  • Dennis C. aka djc591 - Not to be trusted - Sells fakes.

You're seeing this, so why don't you just give back our money Dennis.

Won the auction, paid that evening, had it sent to Mansors - Mansors confirm the strap is a fake - Dennis C. refuses to acknowledge any wrong doing:

Don't want the strap back thanks. I sold John a Rolex strap and buckle. I had no way of knowing it's a so called 'fake'. Infact I didn't even know there were such things - I'd heard of fake watches. As I said to John in the email post auction "I'm not a watch expert". All I was doing was reselling a Rolex strap and buckle I bought in good faith off ebay. If he had doubts - he shouldn't bid for it! None of the other bidders expressed concern when bidding. You can't simply increase the offer right on closing and throw in the parting email - "Bidding based on the fair assumption this is all 100% Genuine". - if it had been earlier in the auction I would have simply removed his bid.But it was right on closing. As far as I'm concerned if he had doubts he shouldn't have placed a bid. I just want to restate what I've already said....I was selling a leather Rolex strap and buckle. It smelt like leather, it felt like leather and it says leather - with a Rolex logo on the strap and buckle. End of story! – Dennis C.

Dennis C. named & shamed, but only after many oppurtunities to put it right - the Q & A appears self explanatory.

Listing paid in full, same evening, including the $10 postage for a $4.50 Trackpac with no 'Return Address'.

Why would any of us want to rip off a fellow watch enthusiast :?

Sorry to hear that this happened to you.

At face value the leather and stitching don't appear to be of good quality.

Thanks Harry, 10 years ago, when djc591 sold us that fake 'Rolex' strap we perhaps didn't know what we know now.

Actually, it also comes down to he fact we'd probably not been sold a fake like that before....

The thinly veiled lies, from djc591, would not pull the wool over the eyes today.

Certainly fell for it then though, hook line & sinker.

Well, what do you know, djc591 currently has a watch listing running...
