  • WTB: Seiko Z22 FV Keeper

    Hey folks,

The keeper on my FV Z22 snapped off so I’m after a new one. OEM is preferable, but not essential. No idea what they’re worth, but happy to pay market rates if it’s unused and maybe $5+ shipping if it’s used. Will need it sent to North Canterbury (when lockdown is over obviously).

    Cheers

It's weird eh, and it reminds me of something else (that I'll get to in a moment) - but the straps seems to fail before the keepers (for me anyway) and I know I had a large bag of them, but I've just been looking all over and I cannot find my 'Seiko Broken Strap Bits Bag' - LeroyC I'll look again for you later on, there must be zillions of them laying round the planet in general unused.

We should turn thi thread into a dedicated 'SEIKO STRAP PARTS SWAP' and we should do the same for 6105 casebacks etc so people can swap to backs associated w/their births.

Then again, probably wouldn't work, nothing else much ever seems to

Yeah Nick is opening again on Tuesday so I’ll give him a call if H can’t find one.

Sorry dude, at this stage I cannot help, I cannot find the zip lock w/this stuff in it... have been digging around for 90 minutes as it pisses me off that I cannot find these or my zillion spring-bars anymore...
Don't say it, yeah I know, seems ridiculous that I don't have one eh... but all I can find is the same piece of torn rubber like you already got

Surely someone here's got one, hell, I'd even give you a whole new strap if I had one.

                Tell you what though,

Have found a crapload of other shit in the last 2-3 hours, enough easily cover the cost of a brand new strap for you, and what I have done is write an email to someone in Japan asking for 10.

Problem is their site currently says 'we're adding USD30 to each order so we can EMS packages due to the Deadly Virus', and if I add $USD30 on top I'll lose a bit.

Have put the heat on him, see what he says, otherwise I'll buy you this one just for being a general GC

Thanks DW. Just checked my strap and the strap itself is in good knick so I just need a Z22 keeper like the one in the first photo. Chur.

                      Good news and bad news,

Bad news is I am even poorer.

Good news is that I have 11 CV Z-22's on the way.

Bad news is that the shipping is $$$$ since they have to be EMS'd due to the deadly virus (have no idea why).

Good news is that EMS is fast, they should be here quick (have left already).

Bad news is my guy didn't have any spare lonely keepers laying about stray.

Good news is you're going to receive one of the eleven free of charge soon as they arrive.

Thats a very powerful and muscular arm.

Excellent result on the new keeper
