This is the first time Ive worn a Turtle for any length of time to be honest. I bought a blue one briefly but only as a birthday present for a friend..
Super comfortable with the cushion case - no sharp corners. And DLC really suits this watch I think.
Interesting to see all the many different Turtles coming out right now - some really cool ones and some absolute stinkers, Seiko just doing their thing as usual ! And some are starting to command a premium - grey Zimbe is now up at the 2k nzd level - ouch..Last edited by jakem; 03-07-18, 21:59.

Got a domed sapphire on the way for my little SNK807. I polished off the bead blasting last weekend - looks nice in shiny stainless steel (although you can see that Seiko don't do their own polishing before the blasting is applied). Never fitted a crystal before so hope all goes well - if it does, I've got 2 Seikos and an Orient that are going to get new lidsSo, that's a US$60 watch that usually sports a US$75 strap, with a US$35 crystal and the polishing tool cost me $90!

Yup,
That is what I was searching for... to educate 'people' who might be trying to do the same sort of thing
Full, originality, is massively (i.e everything) important sometimes... when nothing but that USD600 unusable rubber strap will suffice lol
Whacky how it was (A) fitted x-ways & (B) how it's a 300 vs. 320 display cover
All good, as you were, just wanted someone (not me) to be clear.

Yes the new crystal is a lot more shallow than the original. The watch maker fitted it cross ways. I was expecting it to be long ways however I think I prefer it cross ways. Easier to read the dial and Ive seen some with what looks like the original crystal mounted crossways.
At least I think the one on the right is genuine...

Like a real day of new watches coming in. Found a whole pile in box under the stairs today. Including Orient Marcus Gronholm LE, Orient Rally yellow slide rule etc.
