  • Recommended Service- Auckland

    Hi,

Loking for any recommendations on a good reliable watchmaker in Auckland to service my ETA-based chronograph? I'm thinking about asking the watchmaker to also do a VERY light polish of the case...seen plenty of these go horribly wrong!

    Thanks

Worth checking out Kiwidave, just courier it to him, you can contact him on the forum

There are a few good places.

Watches on Broadway ( http://www.clockmaker.co.nz/ New market), Precision watches ( http://www.precisionwatches.co.nz/ New Lynn), and Watch World ( http://watchworld.co.nz/ Albany).

They are all well known. They are all quite busy so I guess it is matter of how quickly you want to get your watch back

I had mine serviced at WOB(valjoux 7750) Blair did a great job. Be prepared for the costs, usually twice as much as a standard ETA.

Thanks. It's an ETA 2894-2, so I'm not looking forward to the cost...I've been slack. I've had the watch for 15 year sand its never been serviced. Still keeps good time...
