      • [QUOTE=sjb;n50818]Can't get a decent wrist shot today - too much glare from the overhead lights, so took it off

Have you just hit the steiny with some brasso?
        Looking good

In a moment of boredom I was moved to wonder what may happen should I have a go at the patina with a Cape Cod (the cloth, not a fish). Must admit, I quite liked the effect - and the patina is starting to develop again so might give it another quick rub.

BOOYA! got some creamy lume starting to develop there too, nice. Gotta say I love the way these smaller crowns operate too.

Very nice shot Sir.... actually, I'm going to post that full size, it is worthy.

            • Nice start. Welcome to TKNZ.

That one really is everything you need in a watch. Would be perfect in a 1 watch collection for ordinary types

I concur - that's got everything. I love the yellow highlights on this one.

              • My first automatic....nearly sold it recently but I think I will keep it.
It's also the reason I joined tknz. Better keep it then aye

Glad you're keeping that - must be running sweet after the service. You'd only end up buying another. If you can't do a 1-watch collection then I reckon you're bound to always want a pukka chrono, and more than likely the Speedie, in any of its myriad guises always seems to fit the bill.

And you need all your fingers just to count the indicators and wheels on this Chrono !!
