        • When I brought this Vostok it offered a lot of things in 1 watch I liked.
Clean dial ( for a Russian anyway )
          GMT
          White dial
          42mm etc
But on arrival it also had 1 of my most hated things in a watch.
Chrome hands on a white dial .
Hard for these old eyes to find without going searching for them.
So off it goes for a black set of ruskie hands fitted.
          Before an after shots.
They don't look that bad in original shot but in the sunlight , impossible to find.

Nice watch, both ways - although as you say pics probably make the hands more visible

I really like that watch sjb, the cleanliness is near perfection and I think the proportions of the dial are better than the 58. I am trying to figure out if I think it is more successful than the OP36.

Proportions are near perfect for me. I feel the ratio between indices/hands/dial size is just right. A good demonstration of that is to compare it to the 41mm version. Timekeeping is spot on - still getting under +2 secs, so they must have gone to town adjusting the 2824 inside.

That's one neat timekeeper, pedro ...Congratulations and good that got the hands situation sorted. A few years ago, in 2016, I had one of the previous models of this Komandirskie Automatic GMT. I wholeheartedly agree that this Russian offers a lot in one watch, and of those I really like are...
          • In-house mechanical GMT movement
          • Nicely proportioned all-brushed case
          • Internal rotating bezel controlled by a second crown--am a bit of a sucker for these, even though yes, its one extra opening for things to get in
          • Darn excellent value for money, especially because Orient has stopped offering an automatic GMT at affordable price range (please, Orient, release another sub-$500 GMT) and the Chinese are, to my surprise, not making any (Seagull, come on, how hard could it be to modify your ST18 to accommodate an independent 4th hand?)
Here was mine, but I like the dial on pedro's better.

Yes - I prefer it shiny rather than patina'd, so I keep it clean.

                  (it's sjb, not TF)

That straps a perfect match too love that colour. Perfect against that brushed case. Do you ever undo the clasp and push the watch up on your forearm? quite a handy thing to be able to do if your getting your hands and wrists right into something where your watch may catch, get in the way or be at risk of getting bashed about.

Got a mole map done today and when the women told me to undress, she said "and make sure you take that great big watch off also"

I wanted to say "although it's 44mm, it actually wears like a 40mm due to the short lugs..." Lol
