That's one good looking watch Hammers. What year did they produce this bad boy and did it come on the mesh originally?

This is a Watch Co SHOM, so put together by Watch Co who were an omega service centre in Australia and who put most of these Shoms together with genuine omega parts. Came on omega mesh with seat belt buckle, very comfy and mesh suits the case imo.

I would never have guessed, as it looks perfect!!! love the case shape, so 60's/70's especially with the mesh

Just re the stiffness of Isofrane, my experience is the orange ones are much stiffer than the black ones. Black ones are brilliant imo, not cheap but best rubber (or equal with Sinn) I’ve tried.

      • Try Jim (James) in Dunedin for a good local supplier of straps. He hasn’t been active for a while but is a TKNZ member and a good dude to deal with. His Trade Me username is ‘strappedin’, but you can deal direct with him as well. I’ve bought a couple of NATOs and leather straps from him and they’ve been good. I think he’s got seat belt NATOs now too.

Yep Jim is still in business and I've never been disappointed in anything fro him. General good value for low cost.

+1 on Jame 'strappedin'. He has always provided top service, very good quality to price ratio, in fact, often better than what it will cost you to have a set shipped in from overseas.

Horny on the Eulit. Tried on the Sinn rubber, Leather and BC rubber. Also factory strap and canvas. Second best was canvas.

Yeah prices seem to be varying wildly, even between different online retailers.

Varies wildly, yes, but the absolute lowest price new is still ~NZ$465 landed, which is more than twice what they sold for new just 5 years ago. Used ones are seen sold around the price of used Prospex SRP Turtles, which is pure crazy @@
