Looks really good on the bracelet imo

The case and the way the bracelet attaches remind me of the Seiko Diver "Pippin". I wonder if there are relations beyond just Pulsar being Seiko's brand.

Yes it's a completely different watch on the bracelet. It was better on the strap when I was still 'on the tools' every day, but now that I'm more office based I'm very happy to have it back on the bracelet. It's more versatile and still very comfortable. No idea if it takes any cues from other Seiko watches, although I've always though there were some similarities with the Alba Manta.

Red on grey really pops, but the watch alone, regardless of colourway, would already brighten up any morning

      • A new suede blue strap from Colareb on the 7005-7030 today. Has an appropriate wintery look along with the silver dial and markers, I am always pretty amazed how a new strap can give older watches a new lease on life

Basic 7S26 Seiko 5 gents are very much overlooked in the watch community, admittedly by myself too, and that should change. It only takes looking at social media trends among millennial--those who move from fashion watches like Daniel Wellington to their first mechanical--and see how impressed the younger generation are with the relative quality and value the outgoing 7S26 Seiko 5 offers, for me to appreciate the titan the 7S26 Five really has been. It is Japanese mechanicals like these, including entry-level Citizen 8200-based and Orient 469-based Automatics, that has kept Chinese brands from getting a foothold on the global market... No additional words needed for the Amphibia SE, as it already speaks louder than words

John Foxx or Midge Ure? Love them both but never heard a single Foxx-era track played in NZ ever.
