  • G-shock 'fox fire' 6900 this morning. I love the 3 segmented 'second wheels' ticking away in chunks. They remind me of a cheesy 90s action movie, bomb timer, countdown.

The 'Fox Fire' tag is so much better than 'illuminator'. It's a late model so I should be able to enjoy it without worrying about resin-rot

Agreed that is very cool. I thought I wanted a Marathon as well, but I was able to borrow JMac's TSAR for a month or so a couple of years ago and I just couldn't bond with it. I do still like the Marathons, but would probably only consider a JDD if looking again in the future.

Indiglos are superb watches that appreciate remarkably over time! I gave one to my younger brother for his 21st birthday and 25 odd years later he gifted me a me a Magrette Moana Pacific Bronze Waterman for mine. I made out like a bandit on that Timex Good on ya little bro

Woops... I misremebered, I actually gave my brother a Seiko... still it was remarkable appreciation to the Waterman and I do like the Timex's clean lines

                      10/10 psyched

This is also exactly how I got this watch.

He emailed, told me to get some program, video computer phone app or some shit

I then experienced my 1st ever video call, classic as, about 2007 I think... we had broadband just capable haha

During the call he showed me a little pile of parts in his cupped hands and said 'you wanted a 3-Line Tuna w/a flash serial here it is, there's no shroud or movement or crown or hands but otherwise it is 100% complete'.

                      lol

Thats where my SBBN007/017/031 came from.
