    • Seiko Lumi-Brite.. a Japanese invention, created 1993 by Nemoto & Co.

Europeans (Swiss etc) are licensed usage of the product under the name 'Lumi-Nova'.

Seiko wristwatches first had their displays treated to this non-radioactve luminescent material 1994.

I was in Singapore and found the Orient AD (office and shop on 5th floor of car park, as you do in Singapore, only found it due to Google reviews of the place). They had one in a display case and I asked whether they were for sale, given i know the infamous Orient King / Tsar. They kindly found two and offered me both on a complimentary basis

                          • 2014 SAMSUNG Galaxy GEAR S Smartphone / Watch / Pedometer / Heart-rate Monitor etc

The 1st mobile telephone (stand alone mobile telephone) to be shaped like a wrist watch AFAIK...

You can 'piggy-back' this unit off of a mobile telephone OR you can stick a SIM Card in it and use it separately (I piggy back it.).

The audio (speaker / microphone) is very very good, astonishingly so, it is not easy nor fast to send long txt's though, email is best left to the home computer too, but it's pretty fun & the 1st of it's kind... also a very cool extra battery bit, that doubles as the charger... so you can use it for a fair few days without any power.

Quite light & very comfortable, the strap & deployant are class... the later versions of this model had extra gimmicks (most notably / usefully a camera) but showed much lesser physical quality & fit.. i.e. this won't be ever getting upgraded to to a newer version.

Additional equipment fitted to this Gear S Smartphone includes:

ArmorSuitâ„¢ MilitaryShield Full Carbon Kit (Made in U.S.A.)

POWER-SUPPORT® Front Cover (Made in Japan)
