      • On a Borealis "Iso", great strap if you balk at the price of the originals!

              • Nearly 10 yrs on . Spends at least 11 mths a year in the box .
                Never been opened or serviced.
And still keeps time to specs.
                A tribute to Seiko reliability.

                        • If there was ‘just 1 watch’ SEIKO MM300 would surely be in the running?

                            • Really enjoying this steinhart GMT. Great value running an ETA 2893/2 (could be the cheapest watch using it?). Operating at COSC standards and with 300mtr water resistance.
I am a little bit put off by homage watches but have no axe to grind. Part of me likes them but they have to fit certain criteria like must not homage to a current model....prefer to keep away from Mercedes hands etc.

Being almost a copy of the explorer II this probably fits outside of my usual criteria however the design is so old and really few would even guess it's a Rolex design.

purchased from gnomon watches who really did offer great customer service etc throwing in some freebies, actually about 10% of the value in freebies.

Apparently he also uses extremely fast shipping with no complications our side if you can read between the lines.

                              Happy humping (wednesday)

Noticed a very cool Orient Explorer II here the other day-

I really like that, and I can testify to the price/quality ratio of Steinhart. I bought direct from them and their customer service was excellent. I really love the original Explorer 2. You might find this video interesting:
