Heck that Omega is one photogenic piece of kit. The Mrs left this one lying around today, so I nicked it Definitely showing signs of patination now.

This little number has been sitting in the cupboard since I got it from Tony a couple of years ago. From memory he threw it in with something else I got from him as it needed some work and he couldn’t or didn’t want to get it done. I looked at it a few weeks ago and decided it was too nice to stay there and too good to get rid of so I’ve had it fixed up. It’s had a full service, a sympathetic touch up and a new crystal. It still needs a ‘day’ wheel as the one I was hoping to use doesn’t work. It’s not a standard 469 movement so needs a specific day wheel apparently. (If anyone can point me towards a good source for Orient parts that would be good). Anyway, here it is on my wrist for the first time proper, still looking lovely and vintagey with a little patina on the hands and some light wear on the case. It’s fairly small at 37.5mm and wears small due to the dive bezel, but it’s chunky and weighty so has reasonable wrist presence. Ultimately it’s probably a touch small for me so I’ll end up moving it along. I’ll enjoy it in the meantime and will keep hunting for a day wheel.
    Happy Friday!

Seiko Chronograph today. Given up waiting for my new phone to be delivered, so had to take the pic on my old one.
