Thanks! I love this one too. I love the fun you can have modding these inexpensive Seikos. I've just done my little old snk807, looks and wears like a completely new watch. Just waiting on a new strap to turn up for it.

Enjoy the last day of the week guys.
Picked this up earlier this week. Had to see what the fuss about the R brand was all about for myself. Gotta say I’m pretty impressed with the quality and finish. Dare I say it but as good as the GS watches I have owned.

I like it. The simplicity is deceptive. I've seen a few reviews popping up lately and I must say I'm tempted. I particularly like the white face version. Don't know if it would edge out the Explorer 1 for me - I'd have to wear both for a while before deciding. Top stuff- enjoy!!

Congrats on the OP! Such a nice simple design, sweet execution and cyclops-free. Great all-rounder!

      +1 this

Having no date bubble massively improves the look of most of them imvho

Frankly, I'd just rather not know the date, than have a chunk of glass super-glued to my watch

wow - not much has changed in 100 years then eh... all they've done is add a weight to wind the watch, what else is really too different between this & Stevo's new Oyster 'Perpetual' ?

Steve I tried that on a couple of months ago and I whole heartedly agree....and so comfortable. I was quite taken by it.

Trying to not wear the pelagos every day, made easier by the 70hr power reserve which I can confirm is no lie. Let it sit for 3 days in the box when I returned from noumea and it was still going.

Getting +3.6 spd worn and -0.8 in 12 up position.
Biggest variation is right on cosc at +5 laying flat dial up. I think I may never have to touch the crown again apart from date change daylight savings and overseas trips.

I'm very impressed which is the way it should be right.

Nice watch you have there Sir.

Will enjoy seeing a few more pix of the green over time.

One of the coolest models we've ever handled... the hue & depth of the blue makes it unreal.

Yes, THE Shinshu Artisan Time Studio, where Spring Drive and HEQs movements used in Grand Seiko and Credor are hand-built, and these 9T82 are assembled by the Shinshu master craftsmen alongside those.

9T82 is the only fully hand-assembled SEIKO Kinetic calibre, and each model is virtually an LE in themselves, as no more than 2,500 units of each case reference were made.

Within Seiko, 9T82 are to Kenetic what the 9S Series are to Mechanical.

I wonder how many of these there are in Aotearoa.

Now we know at least two...
