This is the reissue of the "Ripley", I've got a bit a soft spot for the Seiko Giugaro designs.

It just tells you day or night I believe, I think it's correct you can't adjust it, just past the nine on the dial.
As for the timing H, I like the big second hand moving for timing glow plugs and the like.

2254.50 woop woop pretty dark in there you have chosen an appropriate tool watch... huge lume plots on the display + lots of lume on those swords especially vs. BOND's skeletons

Spot on “clap” lume is fantastic, and two for two with the bond, whilst the lume is as good on the bond the lack of space on the hands doesn’t give you same instant readability and I would go as far as to say that you have to second glance to confirm the hand

it's like I was saying a decade ago though, it's cheaper to change a strap than it is to change a watch

Totally true, the 2254.50 is for the practical wearer & the 2531.80 is for the collector purest BOND lover.

Thats nice watch man... I always thought these were heavily under-rated, very very very robust case + movement combo's

Don's selling one at the moment though (luckily for my food budget) theres no spaces spare in my box, I have a soft spot for the 7548 indeed.

Thanks H, yes these are great watches imho. I had an orange dial 7548 too. But during a moment of shear lunacy, I sold it. I could kick myself every time I think about it

Today marks 5yrs since my Dad passed away. So I really couldn’t wear anything other than his old watch. (Except for the hour I was in the surf of course. The G-Shock was the choice for that activity).

Condolences Leroy. My dad passed away just over 4 years ago and today my 4 year old got teary and said she missed him, they never met but they would've loved each other to bits.
