  • Enamel or Urushi dials, show em if you got em...

    morning gents.
I have been thinking about trying an enamel dial in the near future. also rather taken with the Seiko Urushi dials.
if anyone has or had one I'd appreciate your comments and pics.

like it but I decided the Roman numerals were not for me.
gorgeous dial and the sub dials when shown properly in photos are superb.

its a rather strange little area of watches. you seem to have the options of Breguet, Blacpain and above in the $xx,xxx or Seiko, Citizen in the $xxx to $xxxx. or pocket watches!
while the seiko above has no "decorated" movement it is powered by the 8R48 which is worth a read up on itself.

On worn and wound website they have mentioned a new enamel faced watch just recently if you're interested.

closing in on a Seiko but the seller won't budge he seems to think that ALL watches once bought, appreciate by 20%
it will sit for a few more months and I'll keep reminding him im here, ready with realistic funds

Smart man... probably not a huge resale market as a fairly specialist following. Nearly snapped up an enamel dial 2-3 years ago after someone here I think (who was a watchmaker) posted his one and why/how he brought. I can’t remember the model I was looking at but it was a dress, 40-42mm wide. Nice bar price... in the end just knew I’d never use it.
