Thought this morning’s line up could not get better and then, IWC. Very very cool.

        Agreed,

And, if I'd listened at skool I'd be able to afford an IWC like this, and also I'd know what all the numbers meant on the retlaw4 GP

For decades, IWC's adherence to Gérald Genta's Ingenieur case, with its integrated bracelet, seemed outdated. Then, within the last year or so, we've seen a great resurgence in the revival of the Genta style case, and all of a sudden, the Ingenieur becomes a design statement and bang up to date in fashion

Are the Eulit Perlons soft or flexi or are they reasonably stiff and firm?

Hi Leroy, they are quite a bit firmer than the average NATO strap but the perlon material bends to and holds a shape more easily than standard nylon, it's a bit hard to describe. But that pliable nature of the fabric combined with the amount of adjustability from the weave means that you can essentially get a perfect fit for your wrist. I have really liked it so far.

Grey day on the Coromandel... back with the Orient, with the U1 a clear favourite atm... might be time to sell /trade some others that aren't getting wrist time Click image for larger version

It's amazing that the Chronograph Quartz 7A28-7049 is a watch one never gets tired of looking it. Looks as good to me today as when I first learned about it over a decade ago. Perhaps Seiko should do a edition using its VK6x movements?

Seiko do like a good reissue! But they seem to favour the autos

True, Guzz... Could be that their current demographic for re-issues are more willing to pay more for automatic? But hoping all the same, since there has been the Bullhead quartz remake and the SUS-inspired Nano Universe SCXP155.

Wow! You have a Full Auto King Diver with the Super-Compressor style case, Captain ...I wish I had one but in all the years I've been into Japanese watches, those twin-crown Full Auto have been very expensive to obtain. Do take it out of the stash and enjoy, please!

The blackened case looks to be holding well, Leroy. Do you happen to know what it is? PVD, IP coating, or something harder?
