  • advice - Seiko Tuna

    Hi all,

Quick suggestions in Auckland, need a battery replacement for my Golden Tuna (7549-7009) any suggestions in somewhere in Auckland that won't look at me like I am a weirdo and know what they're doing?

Will need same for the baby tuna soon too, I think - and maybe a new crystal

    Any suggestions?

Maybe try Tim at Milford Clock & Watch or Col'n at Precision Watch Co.

Baby Tuna has a screw down caseback so it's not difficult, get an SR43... carefully clean and grease the gasket, don't stretch it or get it caught, you can probably get the caseback off with the duct-taped up golf-ball technique.. I can 80% of the time... though if you are also going to replace the display cover the job is the same as on the Tuna... a really decent caseback tool helps (ask DW).

What type of display cover will you go for, OEM HARDLEX mineral glass or aftermarket Sapphire Psyched?

Was thinking sapphire if I change it. The Hardlex naturally has a small scratch
    Working...
