Been hanging out with this one all week. 1972 and still ticking away. I was toying with the idea of getting some old hands for it, but I think I will just leave it as it is.

I wish Seiko made a 1-to-1 re-issue, Hardlex crystal, and just change the lug-with to 20mm and modern screw-down crown system.

I totally agree Don!!!! The 6105-8xxx in any format is just a perfect watch in my humble opinion, a re-issue of these watches should definitely be a one to one with the only adjustment being 20mm lug width, every thing else is just awesome

I have been waiting for over a year for another opportunity to pick one of these up. The Vostok factory only seems to make them in very limited numbers (the midnight blue dial variant at least) and aside from a very kind offer from Don in August last year to sell me his one which I had to pass on at the time, I have seen no other listings on the secondary market anywhere at all for them.

Seems that the people who buy them tend to hang on to them, but glad to have one after the long wait for the factory to release some more.

        VOSTOK CLASSICA 690B22

Have a great weekend all. Hopefully not another lockdown in my neck of the woods.

I had two--the anthracite and blue dials--and they are among the best designed Vostok that I've owned. These prove that there is a market for well-priced and well-made handwinders. Congratulations, Gauss!

          We sport an August 1985 Suwa-Seikosha H558-5000 'ARNIE Digi-Ano #3074

I remember whether a SEIKO is made at the SUWA or DAINI factories like this.. the SUWA logo is like a cyclone w/an epicenter.

SEIKO ARNIE was the personal favourite model of our member tigermantis, he also wore his on the same exact strap, thin material, flat hardware.

'Little 'cyclone', all blown up, see the wee hole in the center - the cyclone trade, we call this the 'eye of the storm' or in this case the 'eye of the Suwa-Seikosha logo'.

It's actually just the original sun faded black one

The sun (apparently) can make black things turn blue in about 35 Years
