  • Date wheel question.

Idle musing since I am housebound on a rainy day.

I don't like date displays, sadly many of the watches I do love have them.

Is it possible to disconnect the date function so it displays just the number you set it to without changing?
By all means do today the things you have always done, just remember why you can. Marknz

yup, its a wheel driven by a gear so if the gear is gone the wheel don't turn. how easy it is would be another story?

Despite having the numbers, there is the crazy man in the mountains that none of the tribes will go near!
Always aim to be that man.

Yeah I guess you might be able to put a toothless wheel in place.

In most watches you could just leave the date change wheel out without affecting anything else apart from no more date change. You could hang onto it for future reference to put it back to original in future if you wanted.
