    Nodus Trieste Burgundy

Picked this up in a trade deal thinking Yeah I'll try then flick.
If someone had Pointed me to the web site and said buy this , It would have been Meh, na,

Based on the Bathyscaphe by Blancpain
But with a different take on the hands
Add the burgundy bezel and it takes on a bit of a tudor appearance.

Now I have a hard time with anything below 42mm and even some 42mm I struggle with.
On the wrist and suddenly the 41mm size no longer seems an issue, for some reason it wears more like a 42-43mm ,
Maybe the skinny bezel and more dial give a larger impression than it really is. and a 13mm case helps too .
Sits remarkably well on my 19cm wrist and size is not an issue to me

What impressed me was the fact that the company was not happy with the QC of product they received from factory,
so they stripped each watch down (not the Movement) cleaned them up and regulated them on site in USA to keep better control of their product
2 yr warranty coverage is transferable in private sales

This watch is packing a NH35A motor
Or for an extra $150us you can have a STP 1-11 fitted ( but why )
Seiko has a large tolerance of -25 +35 for its movement
Nodus have regulated this watch to -1 +8 secs a day in 4 positions prior to sale.

Bracelet that came with mine is crap , and not worth the extra money the original owner paid.
Better suitated to leather or Zulu (GGB)
Lume is OK and not Seiko quality Lume, but will still be visible at 4 in the morning

Hands take a bit of getting used to and can have you confused and doing a double take sometimes.
I think that is because the tips of the hands are close to the same size
Considering swapping out the hands to something else if I cant get used to them

    Applied indices
    matte black dial
sapphire bezel insert ( Full Lumed Bezel)
Dial, hands, and bezel insert SuperLuminova BGW-9
    41mm width | 13mm thickness | 50mm lug-to-lug | 20mm lug width | 7mm crown diameter
    200m water-resistance
    AR coated domed sapphire

The STP 1-11 model varies From $500 -$550us
    Seiko NH35A from $350 - 400us
Depending on your choice of leather , rubber or bracelet .

Second hand mart is $275-325 depending on movement.

Bang for buck I'd give it 9/10
Is it a keeper (who me) It could be a long time before I flip this one .
It just seems to tick a lot of boxes except the hands .

Being their first model I will be keeping a close eye on any future models if they can survive the tough Micro-brand market.
And the Mrs thinks is a non diver / dress watch LOL

Nice looking watch 8-) . I'm always interested to see how these "micro brand" watches stack up under scrutiny. I think you will have to try the white hand set, just to put your own mind at rest. You can always change them back again if it doesn't work Thanks for taking the time Pete.
