Meant to say 750-850NZ. So the first bid held.

Sold for the opening bid of 530 USD. There was just a single bid placed. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Seiko-H5...8AAOSwSVRdKYnx

I see he also sold the Tudor North Flag with the aftermarket bracelet as well that has been knocking around on TM for a while.

Actually was a curious auction on eBay for the H558. I suspect the chap suspected he would buy cheap in NZ and reap rewards on the global market. Just goes to confirm the above comments about realistic prices vs online auction houses!

Probably lost a bit on it - would have to pay eBay fees, PayPal fees, postage (although that is costed) then run the potential risk of a contrary seller and eBay / PayPal does not really support the seller.

A black H558 recently sold on TM for 589.00 NZ. It was listed on eBay and reached 750.00NZ ( at last bid ). It seems tempting to list on eBay purely for a larger slice of the market.

Very cool watches, and you got some very cool advice...

FWIW/JM2CW I agree with the above comments... tigermantis bought one of these about 8 years ago locally & paid $450.

His watch is in great condition, everything works, everything, the only detractors are that it is a watch head only and it has a split in the rehaut that crosses the display, which is in fact barely noticeable but it is there.

His has a sapphire, as the mineral was quite scratched and it has a very good insert, apart from the sapphire its genuine however he has the mineral in his Underwood I expect.

Using the search function... yep here is the H558 Arnie belonging to tiger mantis.. worth more that $450 8 years later I reckon

Thanks. Truth be known I still like it. So will probably hang on to it.

And welcome. My opinion, don't sell it. Great watches and will be full on collectable in the future

Head to watchrecon.com before eBay, that way you don't see the idiotic prices people try for. Unless you want to sell it on eBay. If you try to sell here or WUS you will need to know the actual value not the chancing bastard value
