  • Seiko 5126 7010 repair

    This week (finally) I decided to repair this nice Seiko 5126 7010 made in the 1967,

    This watch is in great conditions, the bracelet it's the original one and it's never polished in own 52 years of life,it's just a bit dirty

    The movement works but the power reserve it's about 3/4 houres only,

    What's wrong whit it?

    As a 5000/8000 movement's series,all the automatics charge components are integrates in the movement

    The low power reserve was caused inverter wheel worn bush

        another great resurrection NSR.

        anyone else spend too long trying to find the "inverter wheel worn bush"?
        I was a one watch guy until I got my first SEIKO

        that's was exactly the same trouble in the 5126 7010 movement.


        The oscillator weight working bidirectional but the mainspring recharge in 1 direction only,

        The group of wheels connected to the oscillator weight reverse the wrong spinn direction

        When some wheel working in not perfect verical position,the friction encrise,the obshillator weight spinn slow and doasn't recharge the mainspring properly,
        The result is low power reserve oures.
